Bishop David and Joyce Walubengo
He was born on Sunday at 11:00am on 24th December 1967 in Bungoma District. Son to Mr. Silvanus Kalabai Simiyu and Mrs. Jane Nang'unda. He schooled in Nabunga and Mufutu Primary School from 1976-1973; and later proceeded to Misikhu Friends and Lodwar boys High School in 1984-1987 and 1988-1989 respectively.
In 1990-1991 he joined Life Tabarnacle Bible College for Theological Studies immediately after receiving a call to serve the Lord. Since then he has advanced his studies in the same field through Living Faith Bible School in the USA to level three. Other courses acquired include Accounts in Government Training Institute (GTI) in 1992 - 1995 and Computer studies in Abakus Computer College where he went to advanced level in Lotus 123, Acronite Computer Bureau - Micro Computers and DBase 3 plus and Grabowsky and Poorts BV - Computer management and reporting systems. All Computer training were acquired between 1992-1994 alongside other training.
Bishop David Walubengo worked as a High school Teacher in Nabunga Secondary School Kitale in 1990, Accounts assistant with the Ministry if Public works in 1992-2002, Charman of Pioneer Micro Finance Group under K-Rep Bank and new Bus Park traders association Kitale (2002-2003). Other responsibilities included Pastoring UPC Church a position he grew to oversee and leter bishop.Currently he is the Charman of Kitale Great Mission Secretatiat in Tran-Nzoia County as well as a Bishop in charge of school of Evangelism in Elim church. Alongside this noble responsibility; bishop is the Managing Director of Dapro Agencies, Nulwa Enterprises, Lwanfo Enterprises and Baiwa Agencies. In 2003-2004 he worked as the Chairman in charge of Legislation Chamber of Commerve Tranz-Nzoia District.
He was ordained as a pastor by Arch. Bishop Difhas Masinde on 15th August 1999, Dr. Maurice Arao of United international Life Ministry of churches as overseer and finally as Bishop by Dr. David Kenney of Growth Church USA on 22nd March 2003 in Eldoret Kenya.
His church ministry is now over 20 years. Having worked in various capacities ranging from Pastor, Overseer and Bishop. Currently he is a bishop in charge of School of Evangelism under Elim, Senior Pastor Prayer Palaace Elim Church and Director of programme called "ALTER FIRE MUST BE KEPT BURNING" in Imani Media House and finally the Chair Great Mission Trans-Nzoia County.
On international level, he has worked with IMCA, International Fellowship of Covenant Churches IFOCC (USA) IGEM (International Gospel Equiping Ministry as rally Manager) and Apostolic network. He has preached in Kenya, Uganda, Southern Sudan and South Africa. He sponsors ALTER FIRE MUST BE KEPT BURNING PROGRAMME on Imani Radio every Teusday at 4:30pm. A programmed that is aired in four Nations ( USA, KENYA, UGANDA, AND TANZANIA).
Bishop is married to Joyce Nakhanu Wamalwa; through a holy Matrimony by Bishop Nicholas Olumasai of Kakamega. They are blessed with five children (Lucy, Protus, Brain, Daniel and Valary) they live happily in Kiminini Kitale Kenya.
